What Is a Production Coordinator?

A Production Coordinator is your operational partner within the In-House Video Editing plan.

Their role is to streamline the entire editing workflow — from request intake to on-time delivery — ensuring your content pipeline runs smoothly, efficiently, and without bottlenecks. You can think of them as the “Project Manager” inside your beCreatives editing system.

What the Production Coordinator Does

Your Production Coordinator manages the operations of your editing requests, including:

1. Queue & Workflow Management

  • Organizes and prioritizes your editing tasks
  • Ensures your queue is always moving smoothly
  • Balances urgent vs. non-urgent requests

2. Communication & Updates

  • Serves as your main point of contact
  • Provides updates on request progress
  • Clarifies requirements and ensures editors have what they need

3. Request Review & Quality Coordination

  • Reviews submissions for clarity
  • Ensures assets are provided correctly
  • Works with editors to resolve issues
  • Collaborates with the Creative Director for quality alignment

4. Problem Solving & Escalations

  • Identifies blocking issues early
  • Addresses delays, miscommunications, or missing assets
  • Escalates creative or technical issues to the right team members


What the Production Coordinator Does Not Do

To keep roles aligned and efficient, the Production Coordinator does not:

  • Edit videos
  • Approve final creative decisions (that’s the Creative Director)
  • Create content strategy or creative direction
  • Manage your internal business tools (unless arranged)
  • Write scripts or marketing copy
  • Replace your social media manager
