How Can I Prioritize my Requests?

Strategically organize your priorities to optimize your workflow and ensure everything is handled according to your needs

Setting the correct priority label for your videos is essential to ensure they are edited in the desired order. You can organize your videos by four priority levels: Low, Medium, High, and Critical. Videos marked as Critical will be processed first, followed by those with High, Medium, and finally Low priority.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to change the priority of your videos in Space:

1. Access Your Dashboard

First, log in and go to your Space dashboard

2. Change Priority for your Requests

- Step 1: Go to the Requests tab.

- Step 2: In the request list, find the video request you want to prioritize. Requests will have a Medium priority by default.
- Step 3: Click on the pencil icon ("Edit field") under the Priority section.

- Step 4: Select the desired priority level: Low, Medium, High, and Critical.

3. Save and Verify

After changing the priority, ensure the changes are saved correctly. You can double-check the list to confirm that the videos have been reorganized according to the newly-assigned priorities.

Tips!

- Assign the correct priority: If you need a video to be edited urgently, make sure to set it as Critical.
- Don't assign Critical or High priority to all of your requests: If every video is critical, then none of them are! Try to label only 1 video as Critical, then 1 or 2 videos as High, and reorder them as your editor works the list.

- Revisit regularly: Priorities may change over time; revisit your dashboard often to ensure your videos are always aligned with your current needs.

Changing the priority of your videos on Space is a simple but crucial process to ensure your projects are completed in the right order. If you need a video to be edited urgently, and this is a priority because you have a close deadline, you can always contact your editor to inform them.
